I still think the best way to try kratom for the first time is standing in a shop, talking to somebody who's used it, not scrolling reviews on a phone. That's a lot of why we've built relationships with independent stores across Oregon since 2016 instead of selling only online. The number's on every bag, same as it's always been.
What do you get buying kratom in a store instead of online?
Mainly two things: a person, and no wait. Most of the shops that carry us are independent markets, smoke shops, and bottle shops whose staff have handled the product and talked to regular customers about it — they can answer questions online reviews can't. And you walk out with it that day instead of tracking a package.
Online has its place too, and we'll get to that. But if there's a shop nearby, it's worth the stop.
Which parts of Oregon carry Sunstone kratom?
Oregon is home base, and our shelf presence follows the state's own population centers:
- Portland metro. The largest concentration in the state — independent markets and smoke shops across the city and its suburbs, including 82nd Avenue Tobacco & Pipe.
- Eugene and Springfield. Home turf. Springfield is where we've run the facility since 2016, and the locator lists shops in both cities, including 13th Ave Market in Eugene and The Smoke Shop in Springfield.
- Salem and the Mid-Willamette Valley. A steady cluster running from Salem down through Independence and Woodburn, including All Star Market in Salem.
- The coast. From Astoria down to Brookings, including Astoria Mini Mart in Astoria.
Inland, we're also on shelves around Bend, Medford, Grants Pass, and Roseburg. Beyond Oregon, shops in Washington, Iowa, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, South Dakota, and Minnesota carry Sunstone too — the current list for any state is always the store locator, not this page.
Most of these shops carry the main line — our capsules and powder, our shots, and the Kray Kray gummies — but selection varies by store. If you're driving somewhere for one specific product, a quick call saves the trip.
Is the kratom the same whether I buy in a store or online?
Yes — it's the same product, run through the same processing and the same lab testing, whether it leaves our facility for a store shelf or a shipping label. What's not identical is the selection: most stores carry the main line, and the full catalog is on the website. The consistency that matters is in how every batch is sourced, processed, and lab-tested before it ships to anyone. That part doesn't change by channel.
What if there's no store near me?

How current is the store count? It's current — we keep it updated. The store locator runs off our live retail list, so it's the accurate answer to "who near me sells this."
Do all Sunstone retailers carry the same products? Nearly all of them carry our capsules and powder, and most carry our shots and the Kray Kray gummies — that's the main line, and it's what you'll find in most shops. Not every store carries every product, so the full catalog is on the website, and a quick call confirms what a specific shop has.
Can I buy Sunstone kratom outside Oregon? Yes. Oregon is home base, but Washington, Iowa, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, South Dakota, and Minnesota all have retailers carrying Sunstone. The store locator covers every state we're in.
Which Sunstone product should I start with? Maeng Da is usually what we recommend. Whatever you choose, start with a conservative amount and take the risks — including dependence with regular use — seriously.
Is a store's kratom less fresh than what ships from the website? Not by design — retailers order from the same supply we ship from directly, there's no separate "store grade." If freshness matters to you for a specific product, ordering from the website is the shortest path from our facility to you.
